Flat Branch Park Family Fun Day featuring the movie Shrek II

COLUMBIA, MO (September 28, 2004) -- The Flat Branch Park Walk-in
Outdoor Cinema will open with Shrek II on Saturday, Oct. 9 (Rain Date:
Oct. 16). This free event will begin at 4 p.m. with a children's puppet
show, games, an interactive theatre production and Shrek II at 7 p.m.
After the movie, jump on your bike and join the Midnight Bike Ramble.

Event Schedule
Puppet Show: 4-5 p.m.
Nancy Puppetladye presents Critter Stories and Songs, Old Macdonald Had
a Farm, and The True Story of Sneaky Snake. This program features live
music and interactive puppetry.

Children's Activities: 5-6 p.m.
Enjoy fun activities and meet Shrek!

Interactive Theatre Production: 6:30-7 p.m. 
The Pedestrian Theatre Company will present "BUGS!" an original
work adapted from children's poetry. 

Flat Branch Outdoor Cinema: 7 - 8:30 p.m. 
Bring a blanket and a low lawn chair and enjoy the special showing of
the movie Shrek II, shown on an inflatable screen. Sponsored by Flat
Branch Pub & Brewing. Presented by the Convention & Visitors Bureau,
Columbia Parks and Recreation, Ragtag Cinema and the Columbia Daily
Tribune. 

Bike Ramble: 10 p.m. to midnight
Enjoy a late evening bike ride through downtown and college campuses.
Event proceeds benefit Flat Branch Park building projects. Registration
forms available mid September at Parks and Recreation 1 S 7th St,
CyclExtreme; and online at www.discoverthedistrict.org.
