Temporary closure of Mount Vernon Avenue 

	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announced today that beginning Tuesday, July 26, at 7 a.m., Steve Estes
Plumbing, the contractor working for Stacey and Rebecca Woelfel, will
begin sewer lateral repairs at the intersection of Mount Vernon Avenue
and Amelia Street. This work will result in the temporary closure of
Mount Vernon Avenue between Paris Road and Amelia Street to through
traffic. 
	The work should be completed and the street should be reopened,
weather permitting, by Wednesday, July 27, at 7 p.m. Motorists and
pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the
construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
