Start construction of Concordia Drive & Walther Court Drainage
Improvements Project
(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Public Works Department announced the
beginning of the construction of a drainage improvement project along
Concordia Drive and Walther Court. Construction for this project is
scheduled to begin Monday, June 19. During the construction project,
Concordia Drive will be closed to thru traffic from the intersection of
Walther Court north approximately 250 feet. Future news releases
regarding the road reopening will be issued as construction progresses.
J. C. Industries Inc. of Jefferson City, Mo., was the successful
bidder on the project in the amount of $94,118. This project consists of
359 linear feet of 18-inch reinforced concrete pipe, the reconstruction
of a portion of Concordia Drive, as well as the intersection with
Walther Court and other incidental work.
It is anticipated that construction will be completed by late
July. Care should be exercised in the construction area and alternate
routes should be used.
