Permanent closure of Orleans Drive (old West Ash Street) between
Fairview Road and Basin Drive
									
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announced today that beginning Thursday, June 15, at 7 a.m., Columbia
Curb and Gutter, the contractor working for Fairview Marketplace, will
begin removal of the intersection of Orleans Drive and Fairview Road as
part of the improvements to the Fairview Marketplace Shopping Center. 
	This work will result in the permanent closure of Orleans Drive
between Fairview Road and Basin Drive. Access to Orleans Drive can now
be made from Basin Drive or off of Orleans Court from West Ash (new). 
	Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution
when in the construction area and use an alternate route whenever
possible.
