Municipal Court collects $1,342 through amnesty program
(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Municipal Court collected
$1,342 from 15 outstanding arrest warrants through its amnesty program,
which ran April 17-28.
"The amnesty program is a way to allow those citizens with
warrants issued against them to settle their warrants without penalty,"
said Shara Meyer, administrative support supervisor for the Municipal
Court. "The advantage is that you can pay your fine and avoid additional
fees and arrest."
The Municipal Court is a division of the Circuit Court of Boone
County, 13th Judicial Circuit. Cases heard in Municipal Court involve
alleged violations of city of Columbia laws.
For more information on the city of Columbia Municipal Court
amnesty program, please contact the court at 874-7230 or visit the
city's Web site at www.GoColumbiaMo.com.
