Show-Me Yards Self-Guided Tour
								
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Columbia Public Works Department announces
a "Show-Me Yards Self-Guided Tour" Saturday, May 20. Eight sites
will be open from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to view environmentally-friendly
yard care. If you are interested in seeing innovative, new ways to have
a healthy yard for your home, stop by any of the Show-Me Yards locations
below:

Special Demonstrations at 11-11:30 and 1-1:30
Lawn Management Techniques & Organic Care - Shelter Gardens Parking
Lot

11a.m. to  2p.m.
"Wet Rain Garden" - 208 Anderson
"Dry Rain Garden/Organic Lawn" - 408 S. Garth
"Organic Lawn" - 401 S. Greenwood
"Lawn Minimizing" - 6 E. Stewart
"Organic Lawn & Garden" - Shelter Gardens, 1817 W. Broadway
"Native Plant Makeover" - 1516 Windsor Ave.
"Native Plant Makeover" - 3016 Meghann Drive
"Watershed-Friendly Lawn Demo with Native Plant Garden" - Upper
parking lot entrance to Rock Bridge State Park, lawn and garden at
Hickam Cabin

	Professionals will be stationed at these sites to answer your

	Maps and self-guided brochures are available at any of the above
locations or download them at www.GoColumbiaMo.com. Brochures/maps are
also available in the lobby of the Daniel Boone Building (City Hall),
Superior Gardens, HyVee Garden Center, the ARC, and Total Environments.
