Back to School, Back to Recycling

(COLUMBIA, MO) - The Columbia Public Works Solid Waste Division
announces that Web Innovations & Technology Services Inc. (WITS) will
collect used electronics as part of its “Back to School, Back to
Recycling” program Aug. 17 - 18. Collections take place Friday, Aug.
17, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday, Aug. 18, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
in the Home Depot parking lot at 3215 Clark Lane. Event volunteers are
needed. If a family brings five members to help, WITS will provide a

WITS is a non-profit organization dedicated to underserved
populations and nonprofits. The organization recycles and refurbishes
donated electronics by fixing or replacing what may be broken and
putting the items back into the community for educational use.
The program is sponsored by the city of Columbia, Home Depot,
Alternative Community Training (ACT) and WITS. For a complete list of
accepted items, please call the Public Works Volunteer Program at
874-6271 or check out our Web site at www.GoColumbiaMo.com. Call ACT at
474-9446 if you would like to help. Thank you for recycling and keeping
