Business Loop 70 traffic restricted on Thursday
(Columbia, MO) -- On Thursday, May 17, weather permitting, the
Columbia Terminal Railroad (COLT) will make repairs to its highway-rail
crossing on the east end of Business Loop 70 near the Municipal Power
Plant. The repairs, expected to take approximately 4 hours, will be done
during the middle part of the day in order to avoid both the morning and
evening rush periods. Traffic on Business Loop 70 will be restricted to
one lane in each direction while the repairs are made.
The COLT is a short line railroad owned and operated by the city
of Columbia Water & Light Department that provides railroad freight
service to Columbia and mid-Missouri.
