Electric work at Ash and Fifth Street next week

	(Columbia, MO) -- The replacement of an electric service line at
the corner of Ash Street and Fifth Street will require a portion of the
intersection be closed on Monday, Aug. 11, weather permitting. An
underground electric conduit will be installed from the southeast corner
to the northeast corner of the intersection. The work will require the
contractor, Sellenriek Construction, to close the eastbound lane and
then the westbound lane of Ash Street. Although the intersection will
remain open to traffic, motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution
when driving in the work area and use alternate routes when possible.
