City arts funding applications available
									
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - Applications for the city’s arts funding
process will be available starting Wednesday, Jan. 30. Staff of the
Office of Cultural Affairs (OCA) and members of the Commission on
Cultural Affairs will be available to meet with potential applicants to
discuss the form and process from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 30 in the
conference room of the Gentry Building, 1 S. 7th St. Representatives of
local arts organizations are encouraged to stop by at any time that
afternoon to get an application and learn about the process.
	After the session, the application forms will be available at
the OCA, 1 S. 7th St. The application is also available on the city’s
Web site, www.GoColumbiaMo.com (search word: GoArtsFunding).
	To qualify for city arts funding, lead applicants must be arts
organizations with 501c3 status. Collaborations with other entities are
encouraged. In fiscal year 2008, the city is providing $95,000 to 16
local arts organizations. Funded projects focus on presentation of
visual, performing and literary arts and related educational offerings.
