City offices closed on Independence Day

	(COLUMBIA, MO) - City offices will be closed Friday, July 4, in
observance of Independence Day. The city manager’s news conference
will be held Thursday, July 3, at 9:30 a.m. Residential refuse,
recycling and yard waste collection for Friday will be delayed until
Saturday. Questions concerning holiday refuse collection should be
directed to the Solid Waste Division at 874-6291. City buses will not
operate, the sanitary landfill will be closed and parking meter
regulations will not be enforced on Friday. Though administrative
offices for the Police Department and Fire Department will be closed on
Independence Day, all other emergency services will be available.
