Mayor to proclaim May as Tennis Month

COLUMBIA, MO (May 9, 2008) - 

WHAT: Mayor Darwin Hindman will issue a proclamation declaring May as
Tennis Month in the city of Columbia. Representatives from the tennis
community will be available to receive the proclamation. The public and
media are invited to attend. 

WHEN: Wednesday, May 14, 4 p.m.

WHERE: Tennis courts at Cosmo Park in Columbia

WHY: The ceremony is planned at the Cosmo tennis courts in honor of the
facility being named Facility of the Year for 2007 by the Missouri
Valley section of the United States Tennis Association.
