Documentary and dialogue series continues tomorrow
'UNNATURAL CAUSES.is inequality making us sick?'

COLUMBIA, MO (October 7, 2008) - The Columbia Human Rights Commission
invites teens and adults from all walks of life and all neighborhoods to
attend the third showing of a compelling seven-part documentary
“UNNATURAL CAUSES…is inequality making us sick?” This free event,
with refreshments provided, continues tomorrow, Wednesday, Oct. 8,
6-8:45 p.m., at the Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health
and Human Services, 1005 West Worley, in Columbia.

Tomorrow night’s showing features episodes 4 and 5 of this
groundbreaking documentary. Episode 4, "BAD SUGAR", explores diabetes in
two Native American communities and focuses on issues such as chronic
stress, race and racism and genetics. Episode 5, “PLACE MATTERS",
looks at how your zip code predicts your health and focuses on issues
such as housing and neighborhoods, wealth, immigrants and racism.

This series is sponsored by the city of Columbia Human Rights
Commission and the Columbia/Boone County Department of Public Health and
Human Services and concludes with the final presentation on Oct. 22.
