Milling and overlay of city streets
(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announces that beginning Monday, Sept. 29, APAC Inc. will begin milling
and overlay as follows:
Sept. 29-30 asphalt milling on the following streets: Wee Wynd:
from the east end to Thistledown Drive; Balow Wynd from northwest end to
Highland Drive; Ridgeway Avenue from West Worley to West Ash; N.
Glenwood Avenue from Broadway to West Ash; Alexander Avenue from West
Worley to West Ash; Garth Avenue from Broadway to Stewart Road; Elm
Street from Ninth Street to Sixth Street; Matthews Street from Paquin
Street to University Avenue; Wilkes Boulevard from Paris Road to Rail
Crossing; Peppertree Lane from Audubon Drive to east end; Hominy Branch
from east end to Old 63; Vista Place from north end to Blue Ridge; and
Bonny Linn Drive from east end to Brown Station Road.
Sept. 30-Oct. 1 pavement overlay on the following streets: Wee
Wynd from the east end to Thistledown Drive; Balow Wynd: from northwest
end to Highland Drive; Ridgeway Avenue from West Worley to West Ash; N.
Glenwood Avenue from Broadway to West Ash; Alexander Avenue from West
Worley to West Ash; Garth Avenue from Broadway to Stewart Road; Elm
Street from Ninth Street to Sixth Street; Matthews Street from Paquin
Street to University Avenue; Wilkes Boulevard from Paris Road to Rail
Crossing; Peppertree Lane from Audubon Drive to east end; Hominy Branch
from east end to Old 63; Vista Place from north end to Blue Ridge; and
Bonny Linn Drive from east end to Brown Station Road.
This work will result in temporary lane restrictions on the
streets listed above.
The work should be completed and the street fully reopened each day,
weather permitting. Parking on the street will be restricted during this
period. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution
when in the construction area and use an alternate route whenever
possible.
