Beginning of Providence Road construction
								
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - The city of Columbia Public Works Department
announced today that beginning Tuesday, Feb. 10, Emery Sapp & Sons of
Columbia, Mo., will begin construction of the Providence Road Project
from Vandiver to Blue Ridge. This work will consist of new street
pavement from Vandiver Drive to Blue Ridge Road and the construction of
a new multi-span bridge over Bear Creak. 
	The total cost for this project is $4,805,000. The work should
be completed and the road fully opened by mid-fall, weather permitting.
Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in
the construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
