Disabilities Commission will celebrate ADA’s 19th anniversary

COLUMBIA, MO (July 22, 2009) - 

When:	Friday, July 24, at 1 p.m.

Where:	City Council Chamber, Daniel Boone Building, 701 E. Broadway

What: Mayor Pro Tem and Ward 5 Council Representative Laura Nauser will
present a proclamation to representatives of the city’s Disabilities
Commission.

Background: The proclamation celebrates the signing of the Americans
with Disabilities Act in 1990. The act guarantees equal opportunities
for persons with disabilities in public accommodations, commercial
facilities, employment, transit, state and local government services and
telecommunications.
