Failure of electric apparatus causes outage 
	
	(COLUMBIA, MO) - A power outage occurred on the east side of
Columbia at 3:30 this morning due to the switch gear between two
circuits failing. The problem stemmed from a faulty connection in the
switch gear. Columbia Water & Light estimates around 3,500 customers
were without power until 5:50 a.m. The three electric circuits that went
out were in the area east of Old Highway 63 and south of Broadway as
well as the Keene Street area.
