Temporary street closure on North Eighth Street at Broadway
 
COLUMBIA, MO (May 4, 2010) - The City of Columbia Public Works
Department announces that Wednesday morning, May 12, 2010, Eighth Street
will be temporarily closed at the Broadway intersection. Crews will be
working on the new City Hall Plaza at 7:30 a.m. 
 
This closure will only affect Eighth Street north of Broadway. Landmark
Bank’s rear parking lot will remain open during the installation
project. The work is expected to take most of the day. Weather
permitting, the intersection will fully re-open later that afternoon.
 
Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution in the
construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible. -30-
