Neighbors on the Go--Bonnie View Park Master Plan

 
COLUMBIA, MO - On Tuesday, May 25, join Columbia Parks and Recreation
staff for a walking tour of a new community park located near Fairview
Elementary School. You’ll see unique natural areas, community garden
plots, practice fields, Scott’s Branch Creek, and be able to help park
planners with possible locations for trails, shelters, playgrounds and a
nature center.  Enjoy an evening walk and an opportunity to provide
input on the park master plan.
Meet at the Fairview Park Shelter (1001 Fairview Road) at 6:00 pm. 
>From there, park planning staff will lead small groups on a walking tour
of the 90 acre Bonnie View Park. During the tour, planners will discuss
possible development options for the park and seek public input.     The
walking tour will last approximately 45-60 minutes and will start and
conclude at the Fairview shelter.  
 
A path will be mowed through the park so comfortable walking attire is
all that is needed.   This program is sponsored by the P&R Department
and the GetAbout Columbia's Neighbors on the Go program.  GetAbout
Columbia’s Neighbors On The Go program is designed to show you how easy
- and fun - it is to walk or bike in your neighborhood.
