City’s Office of Neighborhood Services to move to City Hall beginning Jan. 3

COLUMBIA, MO (December 30, 2011) - Staff with the city's Office of Neighborhood Services will begin moving to City Hall, 701 E. Broadway, on Tuesday, Jan. 3. Transactions with Neighborhood Services can be made on the third floor of the historic Daniel Boone Building.

The Office of Neighborhood Services became part of the Community Development Department with the city's 2012 fiscal year along with the Planning & Development Department and the Building & Site Development Division of Public Works.

Neighborhood Services is responsible for rental property enforcement, property maintenance code enforcement in residential areas, connecting to neighborhood associations and the city's volunteer programs. The Office of Neighborhood Services has been housed at 3601 S. Providence Road in old fire station 7. All staff from Neighborhood Services will be relocated to City Hall later in January.
