Repairs to Walnut Street

COLUMBIA, MO (April 23, 2012) - The City of Columbia Public Works Department announces that maintenance crews began repairs on Walnut Street between Providence Road and Fourth Street this morning. This work will result in the closure of westbound Walnut at the intersection with Fourth Street. Repairs will be ongoing this week. Westbound Walnut between Providence Road and Fourth Street should be fully reopened Friday, April 27, weather permitting. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when near the construction area and use an alternate route whenever possible.
