Advancing Renewables in the Midwest conference on April 8
COLUMBIA, MO (April 1, 2014) -
Advancing Renewables in the Midwest conference
Tuesday, April 8 from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm
Christopher S. Bond Life Sciences Center
University of Missouri – Columbia campus
Over 15 speakers will address issues surrounding programs, policies and projects that are at the forefront of renewable energy. Select topics include: community solar, Kansas City's 'Green Impact Zone', tracking carbon neutrality and trends in bio-based energy.A solar workshop for utility professionals will be held in the afternoon by the Solar Electric Power Association. The ninth annual conference is hosted by Columbia Water & Light, the University of Missouri Atmospheric Sciences department and the Missouri Department of Economic Development – Division of Energy.
The cost of the conference is $60 for the general public and $110 for energy professionals. After April 4, the cost goes up to $75 and $125 respectively. Registration can be accomplished online at AdvancingRenewables.org, by calling (573) 882-9554 or emailing muconf3 at missouri.edu. A list of speakers and topics can also be found on the Web site.
The Advancing Renewables in the Midwest conference is sponsored by Gexpro, Ameren Missouri, Brightergy and Microgrid Solar.
