Snow Operations - Update at noon on Sunday, Janaury 5

COLUMBIA, MO (January 5, 2014) - Forecast update from the NWS in St. Louis now has Boone County including the City of Columbia under a Winter Storm Warning until 6:00 PM today. 

Total snow accumulations with this storm have been increased slightly to 4-8 inches with blowing and drifting snow making travel difficult. 

Please know, the continued snowfall and blowing and drifting snow will lengthen the amount of time it take for crews (all jurisdictions) to plow roads. 

We along with MoDOT and Boone County are out working as hard and fast as we can in an attempt to keep up with the storm.

Priority Snow Route Parking Ban is in effect. Vehicles must be moved off of priority routes to avoid a citation. Thanks for helping us clear the streets more efficiently by moving your vehicle. You can sign up for reminder advisories and alerts below using the Nixle icon link.

* Stadium and Ash is CLOSED due to a large diameter water main break with 3-4 feet of water covering the intersection.

Columbia Regional Airport remains open. Travellers are urged to check with American Airlines for the latest flight status information before departing for the airport. While COU is open, delays or cancellations at other airports could affect flights and flight schedules at COU.
