Columbia Police Investigating A Suspicious Incident On Washington Avenue

COLUMBIA, MO (October 6, 2014) - COLUMBIA POLICE INVESTIGATING A SUSPICIOUS INCIDENT ON WASHINGTON AVENUE

 

On 10/6/14 at 2:08 P.M., officers were dispatched to Pecan Street and Washington Avenue in reference to a subject with a stab wound.

 

Officers arrived on scene and located an unresponsive black male in his 40’s or 50’s in the backyard behind 801 Washington Avenue. Officers called for medics who transported the victim by ambulance to a local hospital for his injuries. At this time, officers are unable to determine what caused the wound to the victim.  Detectives and the Forensic Evidence Team are on scene talking to people in the neighborhood and gathering evidence. The victim has not been identified and once more information becomes available it will be released.
