Lane closures, shifts on 6th Street, Elm Street and Waugh Street

COLUMBIA, MO (October 6, 2014) - The City of Columbia Public Works Department announced today that Engineering, Surveys and Services will begin soil boring for the Flat Branch Relief Sewer Project at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8. This will result in lane closures and lane shifts on 6th Street between Broadway and Elm Street, Elm Street between Providence Road and Hitt Street, and Waugh Street between Paquin Street and Locust Street. The work associated with lane closures and lane shifts should be completed by 5 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, weather permitting. Motorists and pedestrians are urged to exercise extreme caution when in the work zone and use an alternate route when possible.
