Update: Washington Avenue Homicide

COLUMBIA, MO (October 6, 2014) - UPDATE: WASHINGTON AVENUE HOMICIDE

 

 Detectives have identified the male victim, Walter Lige, age 59, from Columbia and Springfield, Missouri. Lige was pronounced dead at University Hospital at approximately 2:40 P.M. today.  The victim’s next of kin has been notified. The cause of death will not be released until the autopsy report from the Boone County Medical Examiner’ Office. The investigation is now a homicide.

 

There have been no arrests made and the investigation is ongoing. If anyone has any information regarding this case please call the Columbia Police Department or Crime Stoppers at (573)875-TIPS to remain anonymous.
