2014 National School Bus Safety Week: October 20 - 24, 2014

COLUMBIA, MO (October 21, 2014) - 2014 National School Bus Safety Week: October 20-24, 2014

 

The Columbia Police Department Traffic Unit wants to remind motorists to watch and stop for any school buses with the Stop Arm Extended who are loading or unloading students. The Traffic Unit always looks for these violations, but they will be paying extra attention this week to prevent this dangerous and illegal practice of failing to STOP for a bus with its Stop Arm Extended. This special traffic detail will be conducted from October 20th through October 24th, 2014.
