SECOND ARREST MADE IN SHOOTING IN THE PARKING LOT OF 26 BUSINESS LOOP 70 EAST

COLUMBIA, MO (November 23, 2015) - Columbia Police officers arrested Gerrell Eugene Lawrence, 20, of Columbia in relation to the October 20th shooting in the parking lot of Loop Liquor.

 

During investigation, detectives were able to identify Lawrence as the second suspect in the shooting. It was determined Jeremy Nash, 17, who was arrested on 10/21/15 in relation to this incident, handed Lawrence the handgun in which Lawrence used to shoot the male victim, 24. Lawrence was arrested on 11/20/15 at 11:19 P.M. in the area of Whitegate Drive and Sylvan Lane for Armed Criminal Action with a to be set bond, First Degree Assault with a to be set bond, and Felony Unlawful Use of a Weapon with a bond of $4,500.00.

 

The condition of the victim was stable as of 10/21/15.
